Em-Pathetic

A funny take on a serious subject, “Em-Pathetic” is a Solo Show about the lack of empathy in healthcare.

A performer side hustles as a medical actor, portraying fake patients and teaching med students interpersonal skills. When she receives a real diagnosis, she ricochets from unaware doctor to rude nurse to lunch obsessed desk staff, asking: “Where is the empathy?”

Phyllis Gordon plays twenty characters in this comical, yet very real, story.
